Hi, I'm Dr. Haris Hashimi. I've been practicing dentistry here in Riverside for more than sixteen years, and in that time I've noticed something: a lot of people leave the chair with more questions than they walked in with.

It isn't for lack of explaining. It's that a great deal happens in a short appointment, and none of it is easy to absorb while someone is holding a mirror in your mouth.

That's what this blog is for.

Honestly, and without pressure. If a treatment isn't right for you, we'll say so. If there's a simpler or less expensive option that works just as well, you'll read about it here. The goal is that you arrive at your appointment already knowing roughly what to expect, so we can spend the time talking about you rather than covering the basics.

A note on what this blog is not: nothing here is a substitute for an examination. Every mouth is different, and the only way to know what's right for yours is to have someone look at it.
